Our partnership SEN provision in Hull is a dedicated SEN school providing a nurturing, inclusive environment for pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
We are looking to appoint a Nurture Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping children with additional needs overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
This role will be based in our Nurture provision, where the focus is on emotional wellbeing, resilience, and building the foundations for positive learning experiences.
Main ResponsibilitiesSupport pupils within the Nurture group, delivering targeted emotional, social, and academic support.
Foster strong, positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence and self-esteem.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and SEN staff to support EHCP outcomes and personalised learning plans.
Help to create a structured, calming, and safe learning environment.
Assist with personal care and sensory regulation as required.
Experience working in an SEN setting or with children with additional needs.
Knowledge of Nurture principles or a strong willingness to learn.
A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to behaviour and emotional regulation.
The ability to work flexibly as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent experience.
